Athermal metal-free planar waveguide concave grating demultiplexer

An athermal metal-free planar waveguide concave grating demultiplexer is proposed. We designed the dielectric mirror at the grating facet instead of coating with the metal on the back wall of the grating facet. The transfer-matrix method is introduced to design the dielectric mirror and the reflectance spectral responses of the 2D waveguide structure are simulated using the FDTD software (RSoft, Inc.). To reduce the temperature sensitivity of the device, the three-focal-point method is introduced. We use the design example to show the high-reflectance bandwidth of the dielectric mirror. The fabrication errors are also taken into consideration. By using the numerical model of the scalar diffraction theory, the flat-top spectral responses of the channels are simulated.     

Phase noise suppression in a DPSK transmission system by the use of an attenuation-imbalanced NOLM

A nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM) imbalanced by attenuation has been used for the suppression of nonlinear phase noise in a DPSK transmission system. It has been experimentally shown that such a passive, NOLM-based regenerator can significantly improve the performance of a phase-encoded transmission when it is limited by nonlinear phase noise. A brief overview over the advantages und limitations of different NOLM-based phase-preserving amplitude regenerators is also given.     

Multilayer dielectric cylindrical mirrors based on omnidirectional reflection from a one-dimensional photonic crystal

A multilayer dielectric cylindrical mirror (MDCM) based on the one-dimensional omnidirectional reflection of a photonic crystal is presented. In this case, the refractive indices of the two materials are 1.6 (polystyrene) and 4.6 (tellurium), and the corresponding optimized thicknesses are 0.75a and 0.25a. A very high reflectance over a wide frequency range is observed. In this case, a is the lattice constant of the photonic crystal. In this band, the MDCM has good reflection and focal properties. Therefore, it is feasible to use the MDCM for integrated waveguide devices. As an example, an etched diffraction grating demultiplexer based on the MDCM is also proposed. Both the operational principle and design of the device are introduced. This provides a method for designing compact integrated waveguide devices.     

The system design and assemble for the high resolution telescope system with segmented aperture

A design method along with its results, for a space optical system with high resolution and wide field of view, is described. Such optical systems can be used in the infrared as well as visible configurations. The proposed design is based on an on-axis Ritchey-Chrétien system with corrected lens element while the primary mirror is a segmented aperture. Here the on-axis concept allows wide-field enabling a variety of observations designed for the multi-object spectrometer instruments, optimized for low scattering and low emission of light. The use of segmented mirrors in the optical system allows adopting any method for its fabrication purposes. Segment results are discussed and the image quality of the design based on these results is evaluated in this paper.     

一种离轴凸双曲面单修加工及检测方法的研究

离轴凸双曲面的加工和检测是非球面加工检测中的一个比较困难的问题.结合一块口径φ230mm、离轴量226mm的凸双曲面镜,提出了离轴凸双曲面镜单修加工以及采用离轴Hindle球检测偏转角度的离轴凸双曲面镜这一方案.给出了单修加工工艺,并解决了检测光路的搭建难点.加工完成的离轴凸双曲面的面形精度RMS优于λ/50(λ=63...     

300mm平面标准镜装卡结构的关键参数

为了实现大口径平面标准镜的高精结构装卡,对其在重力作用下的面形变化进行了研究。首先,对结构胶的有限元建模进行了理论分析,建立了大口径平面标准镜胶结装卡结构有限元模型。然后,分析了不同胶点数量及分布、不同胶接面积以及不同镜框支撑方式等关键结构参数对参考面面形的影响。最后,设计了大口径平面标准镜胶结及支撑的结构。结果表明,采用胶点直径为5 mm,12×3胶点分布形式胶结时,参考面面形的PV值为24.06 nm,RMS值为6.78 nm,满足了大口径平面标准镜面形精度的要求。     

Synchrotron X‐ray tests of an L‐shaped laterally graded multilayer mirror for the analyzer system of the ultra‐high‐resolution IXS spectrometer at NSLS‐II

Characterization and testing of an L‐shaped laterally graded multilayer mirror are presented. This mirror is designed as a two‐dimensional collimating optics for the analyzer system of the ultra‐high‐resolution inelastic X‐ray scattering (IXS) spectrometer at National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS‐II). The characterization includes point‐to‐point reflectivity measurements, lattice parameter determination and mirror metrology (figure, slope error and roughness). The synchrotron X‐ray test of the mirror was carried out reversely as a focusing device. The results show that the L‐shaped laterally graded multilayer mirror is suitable to be used, with high efficiency, for the analyzer system of the IXS spectrometer at NSLS‐II.     

球面镜真空紫外光谱反射率的高精度测量

为了实现对球面镜真空紫外光谱反射率的直接测量,构建了一套真空紫外光谱反射率测试系统。该系统以氟化镁窗口氘灯与Seya-Namioka凹面光栅单色仪产生单色光源,反射式调制器与参考探测器做光学补偿,内径80mm的荧光积分球与精密转台作为接收系统。光学补偿消除单色光源不稳定性,荧光积分球消除了两次测量光斑不同对探测器响应的影响,且减少了系统的能量损失。利用该系统测量了115～180nm球面镜的反射率,测试结果表明测量重复性优于±0.3%;按国际通用不确定度评估规范,对系统进行不确定度分析,相关不确定度小于1.3%。实现了球面镜反射率的高精度测量。     

线电荷与接地半无限大导体板所形成的电场

将镜像法和保角变换法相结合,计算由线电荷与接地半无限大导体板所形成的电场,给出其电势分布和场强分布,进一步得出等势线方程和电场线方程,并利用数学软件MATLAB绘制出等势线图和电场线图.     

Theoretical analysis of imaging properties of a pressure-actuated deformable mirror for adaptive compensation of rotationally symmetrical wavefronts

Our work presents a theoretical analysis of aberration properties of a simple single-channel deformable mirror from both the aspect of modeling the shape of the mirror reflecting surface and the mechanisms of wave-front correction using such mirror. The proposed mirror can be used for a compensation of rotationally symmetrical wavefronts, e.g. focusing of optical beams, adaptive change of resonator parameters in laser technology, phase shifting, etc. The detailed analysis of possibilities of wave-front correction was performed.
